Things You’ll Need:

* Lipstick
* Lipstick liner
* Lip moisturizer
* Tissue

Step1
Choose a color that flatters your skin tone. You can find many lipsticks that complement skin tones just by testing and experimenting with them in sunlight and bathroom mirror lights. Find one that looks natural against your skin. Experiment with types, too. Lipsticks come in many different types from matte (which is a dryer look) to shimmer, gloss and natural.
Step2
Find a lipstick liner that complements the lipstick you choose. Lipstick liners will go on the perimeter of the lips and add a “finished” look to your lipstick.
Step3
Prepare the lips by applying a lip moisturizer to them, paying close attention to the edges where the lips tend to dry out.
Step4
Draw an outline of the lip with the lipstick liner, tracing the natural line of the lip. Slant the liner so as to make the line a slightly thick outline. The lipstick will fill in the center area.
Step5
Apply the lipstick, starting on the center of the bottom lip moving outward toward the edges in a short but light sweeping motion. Stay inside the outline of the lip where the lipstick liner was drawn. Press the lips together lightly. Blot the lips together with a napkin or tissue to move the excess lipstick product from the lip. Apply a thin light coat of lip gloss to set the lipstick in place.
