In 1994, M·A·C introduced Viva Glam, an outspoken deep red that was universal in its appeal and its glamour. In 1997, a second lipstick was created, Viva Glam II, a lightly pinked mauve. Viva Glam III, a foxy brown plum lipstick was launched in 2000. Viva Glam IV, a heartful rose charged with gold, was introduced in March 2002. In March 2004, Viva Glam V makes its debut, a clear, smooth, pure neutral pink with a delicious Lustre finish! Viva Glam VI, the newest member of the Viva Glam family, is a warm terracotta-plum with pearl finish. Wear it alone or finish it off with a coordinating coat of VIVA GLAM VI Lipglass.

MAC Cosmetics has a wide range of products. Some of their flagship products include MAC Blush (including their MAC Barbie Blush range), MAC Lipstick, their legendary MAC Brushes, MAC eye liners and eye palettes, and for the hardcore fashionistas and makeup artists, the raw MAC pigments are perennially popular.
The range of MAC can be overwhelming for someone new to the brand, especially via their limited edition collections. They are constantly releasing new products lines and new colours. The downside of this is they are also constantly discontinuing products. Your favourite MAC blush might be here now, but gone tomorrow. Some of their limited edition collections in 2008 include Dazzleglass, Skinsheen, Naughty Nauticals, Studio Moisture, Heatherette, Strobe, Fafi and Slimshine. With each of them potentially having dozens of products, you can imagine the variety in the MAC line!
MAC Cosmetics are also known for their social conscience. They have a number of programs to help the community. In particular, MAC are involved in AIDS research. Their “Viva Glam” product line supports AIDS charities. This program has raised an impressive $100 million dollars, which shows that their commitment to thiscause is more than just lip service. In addition to this, they are known to manufacture their products using cruelty-free methods.
MAC maintain very strong links with their roots, the professional makeup artist, via the MAC Pro program. Paying members of the MAC Pro program, including models, makeup artists, photographers, and celebrities, receive a number of benefits including significant discounts on MAC products, professional support and discount MAC Cosmetics only available to pro members.
