Party And Evening Makeup Tips

August 19th, 2010 by admin

You done your party or evening makeup following these tips.

(Base): Prepare your face by exfoliating and moisturizing it. If your skin doesn’t have any major problems. Use a tinted moisturizer and a translucent powder to get a matte finish. It is more than enough as a makeup base. If you have oily skin, keep in mind that your look will need touch- ups, so take the powder with you.In case you have skin problems, try to hide your flaws. Use a concealer to hide the dark under eye circles, foundation that matches your skin type and skin tone, and a powder to get the matte finish. Make sure you have the proper products to hide your flaws, the wright shade and texture.

(Eyes): The eyes are the main part of a makeup. To make sure it will be long lasting look, use a primer. It will keep the eyeshadow in a perfect condition and it will make it a vivid shade. Don’t be afraid to use stronger colors, since in the evening you’ll look more pale. The face needs more contrast to get noticed, so make sure you emphasize your eyes more than you do with the day makeup.Use waterproof eye liners and mascara, but be more careful when removing them. The waterproof cosmetics are harder to remove, and if you don’t have patience to make it properly, you’ll damage your skin. Use eye makeup remover products that will help you out with these stubborn cosmetics.

(Lips): If you prefer having tinted lips, and not only some tinted lip balm or lip gloss, than go for a lip pencil. Using it as a contour, it will stop the lipstick from getting smudged, and if you use it as a lipstick base, it will make it long lasting.

(Note): Keep in mind that a party makeup ha to be more bold, more vivid and long lasting. Don’t be afraid to use colorful eyeshadows to make stronger looks, primers and waterproof cosmetics to make it long lasting. But don’t forget to remove your makeup in order to avoid the early aging effects.

Eyeshadow Makeup

Eye shadow. The purpose of wearing eye shadow is to add definition to the eyes. With the correct use of eye shadow, the eyes can open up and have depth in them.

There are different ways of applying eye shadow, depending on the shape of your eye.

Small eyes. Women with small eyes should go easy on the eye shadow, as too much will make the eyes appear even smaller. To make the eyes appear larger, keep the color on the eyelid itself light but put a darker shade on the crease of the eyelid. Then, highlight under the brow.

Large eyes. A woman with large eyes would want to wear dark colors on the eyelid, including the crease. The highlight should be a flat color under the brow.

Deep-set eyes. The outer corners of deep-set eyes should be given emphasis. Light colors should be applied on the eyelid and under the brow, while a medium color on the crease would finish off the look.

Wide-set eyes. Women with wide-set eyes should also use light colors on the eyelid and under the brow and a medium color on the crease. A darker color, however, should be applied to the inner corners of the eye.

Hooded eyes. To make the hooded eyes seem less heavy, light colors can be used on the lid, blended with a darker shade from the center of the eyelid to the outer corners.

Round eyes. Women with round eyes can benefit from using one shade all over the eyelid and making it extend to the outer corners. It will make the eyes appear longer.

Oriental eyes. To open the Oriental eyes, light shadow on the inner half of the lid, a darker shade on the outer half, and a highlighter under the brow will do the trick.

How To Create The Perfect Cat Eye Look

August 14th, 2010 by admin

What You Need

* Pencil Eyeliner
* Liquid/Gel Liner
* Mascara
* Q-tips (optional)

(Step 1).

Starting from the inner corner, line your top lash line with a pencil liner. Choosing one that glides on easily will make your life a LOT easier. I am using MAC’s Pearlglide Liner in Black Russian here.As you approach the outer corner, make the line thicker and flick it upwards, extending it past the outer corner of your eye. Be sure to taper it unless you are going for a “modern” look as spotted at the DKNY Fall 2009 show.

(Step 2).

Go over the line with a liquid or gel liner for maximum lasting power and color. I swear by MAC’s Fluidline in Blacktrack.This is what it should look like when you are done.

(Step 3).

Repeat on the lower lash line . Make sure the two lines join each other at the outer corner.

(Step 4).

Clean up any mistakes or smudges with a Q-tip or a makeup remover pen. L’oreal’s Clean Artiste Makeup Corrector Pen is perfect for this.

(Step 5).

Curl your lashes, apply a few coats of mascara or a pair of fake lashes on the top to complete the look.

Voila! Sexy cat eyes in no time!

More Tips

* If you don’t have a steady hand, try resting your elbow on a hard surface like a table top.

* Find it difficult to draw a straight line in one stroke? Make a few dots and connect them.

* Always start out with a thin line. It is easier to retrace the line to make it thicker than trying to make a thick liner thinner.

* Mastering the cat eye does take time and practice so be patient!

Apply Liquid Eyeliner

July 3rd, 2010 by admin

* To make the line longer-lasting you should apply the eyeliner over your eyeshadows. * In case you make a mistake use a cotton pad and a mild makeup remover to correct it. * Always choose a color that suits your eyes and the color of your eyeshadows. * Never apply liquid eyeliner to the lower lash-line, use pencil eyeliner instead. * Always start the application in the centre of your eyelash line on the upper eyelid. * When applying liquid eyeliner always follow the natural curve of your lash-line. * Keep your hand steady – this way it will be easier for you to apply the eyeliner flawlessly. * Remember: eyeliner should be applied as close to the lash-line as possible. * Never create too thick line at first, build the line gradually. * When selecting liquid eyeliner, always make sure you choose one that dries fast in order to avoid smudges. * Before applying liquid eyeliner, always shake the tube for a few seconds. * Most of the makeup artists advice first to draw a few dashes with a pencil eyeliner and then to apply the liquid eyeliner. * If you want to achieve a more dramatic look, create a thicker line. * Remember: always apply the liquid eyeliner after the eyeshadows, but before the mascara to prevent smudges. * Eyeliners in black, brown and dark violet suits almost everyone. * Don’t forget to blend the line carefully, using a small eyeshadow brush. * Remember: for liquid eyeliner always use a point liner brush as it will allow you to draw an even line. * Never keep your liquid eyeliner in the bathroom as water may trap in it. * Remember: always let the eyeliner dry before you open your eye. * Never apply eyeliner if your eyes are tired or infected. * Harmonize the eyeliner with your mascara, so that it frames your eyes and makes your lashes look thicker.

Mascara Makeup

June 16th, 2010 by admin

Consider the types of mascara and select one appropriate for your lashes and the occasion. You have a choice of lengthening, thickening, long-wearing, conditioning and waterproof formulas, among others. For day, you might decide to add length, while a night on the town may require a long-wearing or thickening formula.

Select a color. If you have blond or red lashes, opt for brown mascara. Darker-lashed women can consider brown for a casual look, and black or brown-black for more pronounced or dramatic lashes.Curl your lashes with an eyelash curler, if desired, and apply all other eye makeup prior to your mascara.

Remove the wand from the tube in one pull. Pumping the mascara will push air into the tube, potentially drying out the formula and introducing bacteria into it.Begin with the underside of your upper lashes, moving the brush slowly upward toward the tips of your lashes. Always hold the wand parallel to your eyelid. Roll the brush slowly on the upward stroke to promote separation of the lashes.

Allow the first coat of mascara to dry before applying the second coat in the same manner.Use an eyelash comb to separate the wet lashes. Also blot the lashes with tissue paper if necessary to remove excess mascara.Use less mascara for the lower lashes. Begin where the lashes meet the rim of the lower eyelid, and gently stroke downward.Remove any stray mascara around the eye with a cotton swab dipped in a small amount of eye makeup remover.

Beauty Makeup (How to apply foundation)

foundation

From setting the Base to selecting the Perfect Foundation everything you wanted to know about foundation. Foundation, also called a makeup base. Foundation is used to enhance the color of the complexion. It’s purpose not only to add color but it works to smooth out the texture and tone of your skin. Three basic types may be used, depending upon your skin type.
Choosing Perfect Foundation

Are you a little nervous when it comes time to buy a new bottle of foundation and you don’t have a clue what color will work for you simply by looking at the color through the bottle?

Take your old bottle with you and use it to match the color on the new foundation. Simply hold the old bottle up to the new brand and find a match. Couldn’t be simpler. The biggest mistake women make is choosing a foundation that’s too light. This gives an unnatural, ashen look. These days some companies hand out samples for trial – it is always helpful to take the sample home and try the foundation for a few days – that way you will know how you feel with it before buying the full size
How to apply foundation make up ?

* First begin with clean hands and a clean face.
* Now apply moisturizer appropriate to your skin type on the face.
* Let the moisturizer set for a few minutes, remove the excess moisturizer with a tissue.
* Camouflage under-eye circles and blemishes with concealer.
* Select a foundation that is appropriate to your skin type. The color should match your skin, disappearing when blended well.
* Shake the foundation bottle well to mix the formula.
* Using a makeup sponge or the tips of your fingers, apply dots of foundation on your cheeks, chin, forehead and tip of the nose.
* Using the sponge or your fingertips, blend the dots together on your face, gently blend in upward, outward motions and pay special attention to blending around the nose, mouth and jawline.
* Set the foundation with loose powder immediately after application.

Tips:

1. For a more natural look, put a small amount of moisturizer in the palm of my hand, mix a small amount of foundation in with it and apply it to my face.
2. If your freckles are light, don’t even try to cover them up. Show them off by using a sheer foundation. If you happen to have the darker ones that you just can’t live with, choose a cream foundation to cover and even out skin tones.
3. Don’t want to go all out with a foundation? Tinted moisturizers may be all you need if your complexion is dewy, but you want a light, sheer wash to even out blotchiness.
4. Always check a foundation along the jawline to be certain you will not be left with a tide-mark.
5. If blending is a problem, apply the foundation while your moisturizer is still a bit wet.
6. When testing foundation. Try it on the inside of the forearm as it so the closest to the neck color there. Because it’s protected from UV damage. The make you buy should blend to the skin color of the neck, not the face.
7. Test foundation on the inside of the forearm-skin tone is closest to neck color there, because it’s protected from UV damage.
