Party Makeup Tips

August 10th, 2011 by admin

Party Makeup

The party preparation ritual is where the fun starts. Make the most of this and take your time to get ready. It’s party time, ladies. So play with all that glitz, glamour and sparkle you have been craving for and give in to opulence and the fairy-like shimmer dreams. The concept of parties is to have more interaction with the people you know and to meet new people, however in realty party in where you try to impress others by your talent, dressing sense and looks. Looks play an essential element in the party along with how you carry yourself, the confidence comes when you know that you have the right make up on and you are comfortable. Putting your face in a stranger’s hands before a big night, however, is risky; you could end up a disco queen instead of a beautiful vision.

Party makeup is all about being distinctive and part of a great time out (we hope), it needs a completely different approach and a dash of adventure to be successfully implemented. When you plan to go the parties choose your dress, footwear and accessories the day before and co-ordinate your look for the big occasion in advance.

Party Makeup Tips

For a good base, wash you face with warm water and massage it with a tinted oil-free moisturizer mixed with illuminating products such as highlighters or shimmer dust available in the market. Let it set by brushing loose powder lightly on it.

Rubbing ice on your skin for 5 to 10 minutes before applying makeup helps your makeup to last longer.

Using a lipstick helps! Shape up your lips nicely, now this has to be done with precision. Applying a color which goes with the dress you are wearing, I prefer a red or black dress in parties.

Shiny lip gloss can be made by mixing some glitter dust with ordinary lip gloss in the palm of your hand. Brush it on your lips with lip brush. You can add shine to make up by glueing sequins on to your face with eyelash glue. Put them at the corners of your eyes, or glue one on your cheek as a beauty spot.

Eyebrow color should match with the color of mascara. Put a little mascara on the eyebrow brush. Blot the brush with tissue, and then brush your eyebrows with it.

Mascara available in lots of bright colors like violet and green. If you need just a hint of color then brush it on the tips of your lashes only. Define your eyes with eye liner. Sweep two coats of mascara. Apply a final coat of colored mascara if you wish.

Apply powder and then blush your cheeks, adding color gradually. Use some blusher on the sides of the forehead and chin also.

Smokey eyes are perfect for evening parties and make you look sexy and erotic at the same time.Apply some highlighter on the space inferior the brows. Apply the medium color on the upper eye lid only. An expanse the darkest shades on the crease, between the two shades and blend well.

Cat Eyes Makeup With Liquid Eyeliner

June 14th, 2011 by admin

Cat Eyes Makeup

Instructions
Things You’ll Need

Mirror
Powder brush
Translucent makeup powder
Liquid eyeliner

1

Start with clean, moisturized skin. Use your powder brush to apply a fine dusting of translucent makeup powder over your eyelid. This base will give the liner something to adhere to.
2

Sit down at your work area. Place the mirror on the table in front of you and rest your elbow on the table to steady your hand. Draw the brush out of the liquid liner pot. Wipe off any excess on the rim of the bottle.
3

Look head-on into the mirror with your eyes wide open and mark where you would like the tip of your wing to be. Imagine a line stretching from the tail end of your eyebrow halfway down to the outer edge of your eye and make a dot in this location on both eyes.

4

Look down into the mirror and keep your eye half open so that you can see while you line the eye.
5

Place the tip of the brush at the inner corner of your upper eyelid. Create short dashes along the lash line, moving toward the outer eye. Keep the liner thin in the inner corner and gradually get thicker as you reach the outer edge.
6

Curve the eyeliner up toward your marking from Step 3 by flicking the brush with a swift twist of your wrist.
7

Smooth out any wavy lines and thicken the wing by retracing your curve again. Repeat on the other eye.

Summer Eye Makeup 2011

June 14th, 2011 by admin

Summer Eye Makeup 2011:

Sexy, appealing eyes are nothing new to women. We have known for thousands of years how to attract and allure using the power of our eyes. Just look at the ancient Egyptians. Cleopatra certainly knew what she was doing using kohl to dramatically line her eyes.

Sexy eyes are not about shockingly bright colors; rather sexy eyes are about creating the perfect almond shaped eye. Women in the early 1900s knew that large, almond shaped eyes were appealing. Once again, we come full circle to the Egyptians and their heavily lined almond shape.

How to Apply Sexy Eye Makeup

1. Begin applying sexy eye makeup with a clean and moisturized face. It is important for the makeup to not mix with oils and dirt from the skin. This could make the makeup look messy and just plain bad.

2. Keep the colors neutral when applying sexy eye makeup. Choose pallets in brown, charcoal, black, or gray. Bright colors may make the eyes appear smaller. Choose a vanilla tone to highlight. Vanilla works well on most women. White can be harsh for this effect.

3. Eyeliner will create the illusion of bigger, more seductive eyes. Eyeliner can also help to correct eye shape giving the eyes the desired almond shape which is characteristic of sexy eyes. Begin by lining the top lash line from the inner corner and extending the line slightly past the edge. Use a soft pencil or powder so that the line is not harsh. Harsh lines might make you look angry, not sexy. You can go over the line using an angled brush to create a smoother finish and fan out the edges so that the line is not too harsh.

4. Line the bottom outer third of the lower lid keeping close to the lash line and extend slightly past the edge.

5. Remember that we are going for an almond shape. Judge the line to see that it creates the shape of an almond. You may need to make the line thicker depending upon the shape of your eye. A perfectly shaped eye will immediately give the illusion of sexiness. If you look at fashion models in magazines, even the minimalist has carefully shaped the eye for an almond look.

6. For sexy eyes, we are going to open up the eyes to make them appear larger; therefore, we must gradually increase the color as we move toward the brow. Begin with dark shadow. If you line the eyes with brown, choose chocolate shadow. Apply color to the mobile eye making sure that the color intensity is darkest close to the lashes and outer third of the eye to create the desired almond shape of a sexy eye. The intensity should decrease as you move towards the crease.

7. Check for the desired shape and that the color intensity is equal on both eyes.

8. Apply shadow to the lower lid sweeping it towards the outer corner. Be sure to keep the intensity light or you may look like a raccoon. You can always increase the intensity if you desire. Concentration should b on the outer third.
9. Fill in the inner corner of the eye and above the brow bone using vanilla to highlight and open the eyes. This will make the eyes appear even larger and finish the sexy eye makeup.

10. Curl the lashes to further open the eyes and apply mascara to both top and bottom. Fan the lashes when applying the mascara to make the eyes appear sexy and large. Concentrate more mascara on the outer third of the lashes.

Summer Makeup Tips 2011

May 23rd, 2011 by admin

1

First, apply a little bit of concealer on your lips to even out their tone, then outline your lips with nude lip liner, filling in the rest of your lips with the liner, as well.
After applying, lip liner, put on a sheer lip conditioning balm to help condition your lips and protect them from sun damage.
And if you’re looking for a little shine, apply your favorite lip gloss over the lip balm.
2

With the summer heat, it’s best to avoid heavy concelaers or foundations that you’ll just sweat off. Go for a tinted moisturizer (with SPF) which is ideal for almost any skin type or a face powder. When using the face powder, apply with a brush to achieve a natural-looking finish.
3

Want light, long-wearing lip color that also offers protection?
Tinted lip conditioners in rose, bronze and pearl are an easy way to add color without overdoing makeup.
4

A great way to ‘brighten up’ your look is also adding color to the eyes.
Try using colored mascara in bright blues and burgundies. Remember, when using bright colors, a lot goes a long way. Keep the rest of the face neutral to avoid looking overdone.
5

Blush should be used to contour the cheeks or to create a natural flush.
6

“Pretty in pink” shades are also a popular summer look (and enduring classic). Here’s how to find the perfect one:
If you look good in Warm Shades (orange, gold, tomato red and apple green) AND your complexion’s FAIR: Light, transparent pink-beige shades are your best look.
MEDIUM: Your best shades are brownish-rose, dusty mauve, and muted plum-pink shades.
DARK: Soft, sheer nude pink in berry tones and rose or plum-pinks.
7

If you look good in cool shades (deep blues, jades and rich purple/plums) AND your complexion’s FAIR: Go for sheer, light pinks with blue undertones.
MEDIUM: Deeper mauves and rose shades with blue undertones will work well for you.
DARK: Try deep plums, deep berry shades, or soft, nude pinks with a touch of beige.

Eye makeup 2011

Before learning how to perfect eye makeup, learn about different brands of cosmetics, and countless nuances and shades of eyeshadows and pencils are available in the market today. The main trick to get the look of smoke is to blend, mix and stir with a combination of light and dark colors.

After applying concealer and foundation, the next step to get this look is to prepare ourselves to take the lid color. Use a neutral base of eye shadow or cream and apply it across the surface of the lid. The next tip on how to apply eye makeup to perfect smoky eye is to apply a colored eye shadow on the entire eyelid to brow bone. Then, apply the shadow as a line just above the upper eyelid to the outer edge. With a brush stroke, you have to mix a good part of lighter color to create the illusion of depth.

The next step is to apply the eye, you can use liquid eyeliner or pencil Kohl. Colored pencil is recommended for beginners because it is easier to implement than a brush. Interesting thin line starting from the edge in making it come out thicker and then make the wings at the outer edge. You can also line the lower lid, but use a pencil or a pencil Kohl for this instead of liquid eyeliner. Stains the tip of the lining around the outside edge of the wing behind the scenes to get the perfect smoky eyes for research.

If you follow the simple steps on how to apply eye makeup is perfect, you can get a smokey eyes, looking sexy in less than five minutes.

How to Get the Perfect Red Lip

April 4th, 2011 by admin

Author:Taylor Pany on

Like the little black dress, red lipstick is timeless and classic. Most of us are guilty of smearing it on when we snuck into our mom’s bedroom to play dress up in her high heels and jewelry. Fast-forward to today, and a red lip is a stunning way to stand out in the crowd. Of course no one will think it’s cute when it’s globbed on at this age, so we’re going to take you through a step-by-step process to find the perfect shade and flawlessly apply it.

STEP ONE: LIPSTICK OR LIP-STAIN?

Many girls struggle to choose, let alone figure out the differences, between a stick and a stain. Lip stain simply dyes your lips with color, creating a more natural look. It’s long lasting and won’t smudge. A lipstick is waxy, so it appears as a layer over your lips. It can smudge onto your skin and teeth, and typically requires reapplication. There are pros and cons to each product, but to be honest, I die for my Maybelline Color Sensational Lip Stain in Cherry Pop. It’s a marker tip, so it allows for easy application, and the color stays on all night. If you’d rather wear lipstick, a selection from MAC is our recommendation.

STEP TWO: FINDING THE PERFECT SHADE

A true, rich red will flatter all skin tones. So when in doubt, reach for that classic shade of red. But, if you’re looking for a uniquely perfect shade, check out MAC, Sephora or a department store counter. The makeup artists will guide you in finding a shade suitable for you skin color, plus, you’ll be able to take them for a test run. If you’d rather not spend the extra money, drug-store brands really do work just as well. Check out this guide to make finding your ideal color a lot simpler.

KEEP IN MIND…

If you have…

* Fair skin, stick to lighter shades with a hint of pink. The fairness of your skin matched with the subtle shade of red won’t overwhelm your face, and it will bring out the rosy undertones of your skin. Scarlett Johansson proves how beautiful the traces of pink work well with your skin. She also illustrates how to work a red lip, which achieves a true Hollywood glam look. So go bold if you feel comfortable!
* Medium skin, you have golden undertones which really help your case. A wide variety of colors will work for you. But, if you want those undertones to pop, choose a shade with just a hint of orange. Those with medium or olive skin, truly can work with a range of colors. Jessica Alba looks amazing in an orange tinted red, dark red and bright red.
* Dark skin, you’re going to look great in darker and deeper shades. Burgundy, rouge and ruby are among the best shades to choose from. Since a super bright shade is an unflattering contrast, try a pearly red. The shimmer will make the color appear brighter where the light reflects it. Rihanna is always playing with lip color and looks especially amazing in a dark berry or ruby red. She also pulls off the classic red look exceptionally well.

STEP THREE: PREP

Before applying your new lipstick, you’ll want prepare your lips for a longer-lasting color. Exfoliate gently with your toothbrush and some warm water. This will clear off excess skin so the color goes on smoother. Keep your lips moisturized with a thin layer of chapstick.

*Don’t try this if your lips are chapped, since red lip color tends to suck out moisture. Instead, the night before you plan on working this look, apply my favorite lip moisturizer, Eucerin’s Aquaphor Healing Ointment (available at drugstores), and in the morning you’ll be good to go!

STEP FOUR: ADD THE RED

Apply your lipstick or lip stain. Always start at the center of your lip and spread the product outward. If you are using lipstick, consider using a lip brush to apply the color to the corners of your mouth and to define your cupid’s bow. Using your fingers works to. In fact, a makeup artist informed me years ago that your fingers are the best tools for makeup! If your using a lip stain, take caution to how much you are using. If you happen to apply it outside your lips, immediately take a Q-tip with some warm water and a tiny bit of soap to rub it away. Don’t forget to throw your product into your purse in case you need any touch ups throughout the night!

The rest of your make up doesn’t necessarily need to be minimal, but definitely should have a neutral palette. Check out how your favorite celebrities wear the look. Some pair it with minimal makeup and others go all out. Go-to looks like the smoky eye and cat-eye eyeliner are classically perfect matches to the sexy red lip. A red lip is a bold statement, so make sure your main accessory for the night is the confidence to own your new look!

4 Wedding Makeup Looks

Natural Bridal Makeup Look

To achieve a natural flawless look on your wedding day, accentuate your features without going overboard with soft, delicate neutrals.

Step 1: Face: After your foundation has set, apply Bronze Goddess Soft Matte Bronzer by using the middle of your ear and the tip of your nose as a guide. Blend the powder towards your nose.

Step 2: Eyes: Sweep PureColor Eyeshadow in Tea Biscuit across your entire eye lid, starting at the lashline and blending up, buffing shadow into your brow. Using the Double Wear Eye Pencil in Coffee line your upper and lower lashes. Then, soften the look by smudging liner with the smudger end of the pencil. Step 3: Lips: Finish by applying PureColor Lipstick in Crystal Beige for a kissable pout.
